The big "C"

Started by: PeterP (11319)

Not being a fan myself of the Royal family even I have sympathy for them has human beings . When the dreaded "C" word is mentioned every one in life could be effected by this. The adverts say one in two people will get some form of cancer in their life time.It does not matter whether you are rich or poor it could strike and devastate families. I myself has they say been there worn the tee shirt and have been clear for 15 years so know what it is like

Yes I too fall into the group of, ' someone in the family ' and I also know the amount of time in , hospital waiting rooms , visits to clinics phone calls to re arrange and the trauma and stress it causes, Kate and Charlie will get much better treatment and they will not even know what its like to find a car parking space,,,,

The op was at Wrightington, no problem there with parking but, the pre op appointments at lineker centre and Wigan, then the pro op appointments at Lineka ,Boston house and Leigh were challenging,
We found that from the diagnosis to the op the NHS were very efficient, It was the after care that is in need of reform, they sent us from pillar to post, Too many departments working against each other but hey, we're getting there, so far,,,,

I don't like the Royal Family because of what they stand for but, as Peter P said, they're human beings so they do have my sympathy for the distress they, and their family, will have to endure.

Cancer is probably the worst kind of illness known to mankind as it can be aggressive. Even with the science research going into finding a cure for it, it hasn't yet been found, and nobody can discover what causes that faulty gene.

My elder brother had that terrible disease and died some years ago, and it's an awful thing to happen to anyone, not just a family member.

As one journalist said today " that creaking you can hear is all those necks being wound back in". It's nobody's business but hers, and the fact that she has had to make that statement to quell the rumours says it all.

The tabloids are just gutter press and the rich and famous now have shown their true colours by speculating why she was in hospital and were proven wrong Like Tom I have personal experience of watching some one deteriorate with Vascular Dementia over the last two years.
